This region is rich in culture, minerals and mines like Thar coal, granite, china clay, history, civilization but poverty exists here. Bonded labour a shape of modern slavery, child labour, corporal punishment, malnourishment, early marriages, human trafficking in shape of selling underage girls in marriages, violence against children, women and minorities are the routine issues. Underground water is brackish; irrigation water is tampered or distributed in an injudicious manner. During my professional career I struggled as an enthusiastic and energetic journalist and produced number of touching stories.
